I am an actor in Houston, TX. In 2001, during Tropical Storm Allison, I was flooded out of my apartment and lived like a gypsy for over 6 months. At that time, I was in grad school and carrying a small debt load from both that endeavor and a brief stint in law school.
After the flood my debt load nearly doubled! Over the years I have done my best to pay off the debt while maintaining my career in non-profit arts.
But it isn't working!
